I consider myself very lucky to be born in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Rome, the capital of the Roman Empire, the Eternal City; commonly referred to as the “Caput Mundi” (Capital of the World). Surrounded by majestic architecture, colorful frescos, and rich history. The people of Rome are very friendly, funny, always ready to laugh, and not take life too seriously, this attitude taught me to be just as carefree and appreciative of life.
I spent most of my time in the bright sun that warmed up the city, sometimes without remorse, eating the exquisite food that I love so much and dreaming up ideas for the future that I wanted so badly. There was always somewhere to go, some new domain to explore so I traversed my wondrous city as many times as I could and doing so gave me an immense passion for the place of my birth; I still feel this passion every time I return home to my city and my family.
I enjoyed walking from Piazza del Popolo to Piazza Venezia so that I can check out the stores in Via del Corso, eat gelato or pizza, and breathe the beauty of this immense city. When I think about my life and my years in Rome seems like a dream to me, time flies, and all the memories I have will live in my heart and soul forever, together with all the people that I met and that is part of me. I can always feel the love when I come back there even for a few days on vacation, I am proud of being born in this wonderful city.
I love you ROMA.
